American Naval Base in Guantanamo, a prosperous business

 
The American Naval Base in Guantanamo has affected the economy and life of the population of this territory. In one hand it helped in the enrichment of politician and managers associated to the main Yankee leaders of the enclave, on the other, it introduced others to prostitution, drugs, smuggling, gambling and many other human miseries.

Guantanamo Naval Base, a problem since its very birth

With such renounce birth nothing good could be expected either from the Base or the marines. And although the birth would have been different the expectations could not be worse.
The Base, Murder to the identity and the culture
Since 1998, and as consequence of the United State’s interference in the Spanish-Cuban-American war, Caimanera town is submitted to a crude blockade in all respects.
The Naval Base, a great inconvenience
Eight people dead and 15 wounded are just part of the debt of the American governments to the Cuban people and, especially to Guantanamo, for the occupation of part of its territory with the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay.
Unfair layoff
Since the stablishment of the  American Naval Station , today Naval Base, in Guantanamo, many Cuban workers and foreigners living in Cuba, mainly From the English speaking  Caribbean, were hired.
What the neighbor really wanted
December 10th 1903, 12:00 am. Rear admiral Albert S. Baker used his best military pose to receive the stampedes. 21 cannonades broke near Kearsarge and the whole Guantanamo Bay.
