The youth in Cuba has always been devoted to his Revolution and to the Cuban people, and that is why the soldiers of the Frontier Brigade Antonio Maceo protect our costs minute after minute.

On May 21st,1996 Luis Ramirez was murdered and his partners promised a greater devotion  the Revolution. They received the corpse that had been shot by the enemy while doing their guard.

Luis Ramirez Lopez originally from Guisa, Bayamo, entered the mountain militia on May 25th 1965 and since very young he showed his iron will and his devotion for his country. He had been only 11 months in the frontier when he was murdered in the house 65, 150 meters from the East limit of the American fortress.

He was a demanding and calm boy, and he had to stand the usual provocations of the Yankee marines on his duty.

About the crime a figure from the Pentagon said, among many others lies that “the infantry soldiers shot him because the young combatant had trespassed the limit and run after that.

In this sense, our Commander in chief Fidel Castro Ruz said: “we can not be part of acts and provocations we have never done and of which we have been the victims for years,  but on the other hand, we will never quit protecting our territory”.

Many speculations aroused about the topic and on May 26th 1966 journalists from 16 countries visited the house where Luis Ramirez was deadly wounded and they could see the blood as an evidence of the murder.
